The SEER Way of Measuring Phoenix Air Conditioning Systems

Shopping for a new Phoenix air conditioning unit can be troublesome when you try to remember tons of different numbers for different systems and which ones are better and which ones don't make the cut.  Fortunately, there are a few scales designed to help when you're trying to rank Phoenix air conditioning.  One of the most common of these is the SEER scale or the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio.

The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio is a great tool for ranking Phoenix air conditioning.  It essentially is a measurement of how efficient a system is.  It is measured by computing the total cooling power of the system over one cooling system as well as the total electrical input.  Then, after dividing cooling power by electrical input, you have the SEER for that system.  This number can have a large range, but it should be known that a higher number means a higher efficiency.  It basically translates to more cooling power per unit of energy used.  When you're using this scale, don't just choose the highest SEER, you also must make sure the system is providing enough cooling for your house.

A SEER is made to help the customer have an idea of how efficient their system will be.  Because it is a ratio. it doesn't include information on how big of an area it can cool.  This is important information to find because it is a problem if you end up with a system that is either too small or too large.  A system that is too small will never be able to keep your home comfortable for you, and a system that is too large will be constantly switching on and off, which drops its SEER like a rock.  So make sure you hit that perfect middle ground and then consider each system's SEER.

  2. It's an event we've all certainly experienced. The heat of summer or freezing cold of winter arrives, and our home's ac repair armonk system chooses that moment to fail, leaving us uncomfortable at best or exposed to serious health risk at worst.
