The SEER Way of Measuring Phoenix Air Conditioning Systems

Phoenix Air Conditioning

Shopping for a new Phoenix air conditioning unit can be troublesome when you try to remember tons of different numbers for different systems and which ones are better and which ones don't make the cut.  Fortunately, there are a few scales designed to help when you're trying to rank Phoenix air conditioning.  One of the most common of these is the SEER scale or the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio.

The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio is a great tool for ranking Phoenix air conditioning.  It essentially is a measurement of how efficient a system is.  It is measured by computing the total cooling power of the system over one cooling system as well as the total electrical input.  Then, after dividing cooling power by electrical input, you have the SEER for that system.  This number can have a large range, but it should be known that a higher number means a higher efficiency.  It basically translates to more cooling power per unit of energy used.  When you're using this scale, don't just choose the highest SEER, you also must make sure the system is providing enough cooling for your house.

A SEER is made to help the customer have an idea of how efficient their system will be.  Because it is a ratio. it doesn't include information on how big of an area it can cool.  This is important information to find because it is a problem if you end up with a system that is either too small or too large.  A system that is too small will never be able to keep your home comfortable for you, and a system that is too large will be constantly switching on and off, which drops its SEER like a rock.  So make sure you hit that perfect middle ground and then consider each system's SEER.

Why are Multiport Systems a Big Deal in Phoenix Air Conditioning

Phoenix Air Conditioning

Multiport systems are a big crazy in Phoenix air conditioning these days. You may find yourself wondering why, though. What's the big deal with a different kind of AC system? They all do just about the same thing, so why should you be interested in this new kind of unit? Well, they aren't popular just so that contractors can make more money. Multiport systems are a huge bonus to you as the consumer, and to even greater things. We may not think about it all the time, but our home AC system can have a big impact on our lives, especially our comfort.

Probably the most important reason to you that multiport systems are a big deal is because they save you money. The systems allow for a totally customizable home comfort. And that means you can set yourself up to save money by not cooling the rooms that don't need it during our hot Valley summers. There's no doubt with automated homes and tons of new technology, we are moving towards a fine-tuned control over almost every aspect of our life. Multiport systems is the HVAC way of doing this, users have more control and they can use that to save themselves more money. The systems are known to be quieter and easy to maintain as well, a huge bonus to you as the user.

Multiport systems can also have an impact on something as grand as the environment. By optimizing our HVAC comfort to require the least amount of energy, multiport systems are helping to slow pollution and the problems that come with it.

Sometimes we hear a lot about a new craze without ever giving it much thought. That's probably alright for things like the mannequin challenge, maybe vines. But when it's something that can help protect our planet and can help you save tons of money, it's important not to be out of the loop. Make sure you keep up on multiport air conditioning and talk with a professional if you're interested in installing a Phoenix air conditioning system for your home.

A Money Saving Trick For Phoenix Air Conditioning Rises From the Deep

Phoenix Air Conditioning

Most of the systems for Phoenix air conditioning depend on electricity as their power source.  Electricity is the energy taking the heat from our homes to leave us with a comfortable inside.  But there is rising popularity for a new mechanism to be employed.  While this may not be the most applicable to our desert region, it may still have use given all the community lakes we've got around in the valley.  Deep water source cooling.

Deep water source cooling is the practice of pumping water from the bottom of a water source be used to cool a home.  The water near the bottom of a deep body of water rests around 38 F.  Taking advantage of this, HVAC systems pump water from a nearby body of water such as a lake or a river.  The water is pumped up to the house and used to cool refrigerant, keeping the house cool with minimal electrical input.

Deep water source cooling is more effective because it doesn’t try to “push” the heat “uphill.”  Instead, it takes the heat and lets it naturally move to a cooler environment, one that specifically has a very high specific temperature, or the amount of energy required to raise its temperature.  A simple change in where the heat is being moved to can make our air conditioning much more effective!

This kind of cooling may remind you of geothermal cooling, where heat is pumped to the cool Earth below us.  The principle is very similar, but the work needed to install each system can be very different.

Deep water source cooling is growing in popularity, especially in regions abounding in natural lakes.  Its application as a way to cheaply and effectively cool a home makes it a popular choice for those who are able to set the system up.  But as its applications grow, we may see Phoenix air conditioning systems using deep water source cooling more extensively.
